I. Basic characteristics

Composition and process

C5 petroleum resin is made from C5 fraction of petroleum cracking, through polymerization, distillation and other processes, with low molecular weight (about 300-3000), softening point is usually 90-120℃, and is light yellow granules or powder.

Environmental protection and safety

Low aromatic formula, no irritating odor, in line with VOCs control standards, suitable for indoor hot melt adhesive products that are sensitive to odor.

II. Core performance advantages

Tackification and compatibility

Excellent compatibility with hot melt adhesive matrices such as EVA and SBS, can improve initial adhesion and lasting adhesion, and improve the wetting effect of colloid and substrate.

Thermal stability and weather resistance

Wide melting temperature range (80-150℃), no decomposition during high temperature processing, no yellowing after long-term use, suitable for outdoor weather-resistant hot melt adhesive.

Color and purity

Light color to colorless design (color ≤ No. 3), active ingredient content ≥98%, to avoid impurities interfering with colloid transparency.

Hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive‌

Used in pressure sensitive adhesive systems such as labels and medical patches to balance viscosity and peel strength and improve low-temperature gluing performance.

Packaging and binding adhesive‌

As a tackifier for hot melt adhesives for book binding and carton sealing, it shortens the open time and enhances creep resistance.

Compound adhesive‌

Compounded with C9 resin or terpene resin, it is used in high-performance hot melt adhesives such as automotive interiors and shoe materials to reduce overall costs.
